Cooper

I am a Purebred

Cooper

Cute Cooper

COOPER is a 5 year old male full Canadian pedigree Boxer .. he loves walks and driving in the car etc.

We feel he is young enough to go to a new home .. hopefully a kind family .. as he loves people and kids.

Cooper is not really an off-leash dog .. he gets on with other dogs if introduced slowly .. he does not like suprise encounters.

He microchipped and has all necessary vet records .. he is a gorgeous boy and would love to be allowed inside and be part of his new home.

Cooper is looking for a new home through no fault of his own .. unfortunatley work takes us away quite a lot and we feel to leave him alone all day is not fair .. he deserves more.

Roxy

About Roxy

ROXY is a 3 year old female English Springer Spaniel X Smithfield Cattle Dog (born June 2008) .. she is desexed and microchipped.

She loves to be centre of attention and her activity levels varys from running full speed through the park or garden .. to having days where she feels so chilled out that she lies down to eat from her bowl!

Roxy has grown up with my son and other children around so she is comfortable with them .. she is not always into playing with them .. she more tolerates their existence.

Roxy would rather lie on her back and get a tummy rub than chase a stick around but she loves going to the dog park and exploring and jumping in the water.

Roxy is very comfortable and friendly around other dogs both the dog she has grown up with and strangers .. she is a great jogging companion who can tend to pull on the lead if the walk is too slow.

Roxy is generally obediant and is very intelligent but she does have a bit of a diva streak ie; she has only just decided that sitting is not beneath her!

For some reason Roxy's skin/fur really attracts fleas so her new family must be prepared to be treating her very frequently with Advantage as well as regular washes .. she does not get smelly if she is not washed but still needs regular washing to protect her.
Squirt

About Squirt

SQUIRT is a 3 years old male Boxer X Kelpie (born September 2008) .. he is desexed and microchipped.

Squirt is a very handsome and affectionate boy who adores chasing sticks .. playing in the water and playing footie .. he loves children and really enjoys playing with them.

He is really like an additional kid to the extent that he will play on the slide with my son and his friends!

Squirt is very comfortable and friendly around other dogs and will cry if he is not allowed to play with new friends at the park.

He does sometimes get intimidated by larger dogs and smaller ones .. Squirt really is the most docile thing on earth!

He can and will jump fences particularly if the object of his affection is on the other side .. so a tall fence is required at his new home.

Squirt is more obedient on the lead than Roxy .. he will not tend to pull .. he does have trouble obeying commands to come back even if he is on a mission to play. He tends to attach himself to strangers (dogs and people) if off lead at the park .. Squirt does tend to get smelly really quickly so needs frequent washing.

Roxy and Squirt have lived together all their life and I imagine the seperation will be hard on them .. particularly Squirt .. if they do not go to the same home .. a new owner will need to be sensitive to this and give them lots of love and cuddles.

I am a Staffy X
Suzy

About Suzy

We adopted SUZY from the PAA last June/July last year .. she is a desexed and vaccinated approx: 1 year old female black brindle Staffy X .

Suzy is a friendly lovable dog .. she plays well with other dogs and loves to be sociable with dogs and people.

Suzy is great with children and loves to play .. she will need to be re homed in a house that has Staffy proof fencing being at least 6 foot.

Suzy loves nothing more than snuggling up with you on the couch watching TV .. she is house trained and is used to having a mat or blanket down inside as her bed.

Suzy is an inside/outside girl .. she will need plenty of toys to keep her occupied and loves regular walks and play time.

Suzy came to us as a timid puppy and quickly became an important family member and we would dearly love for her to go to a similar home.

Suzy is petrified of storms and fireworks and will need to be inside when these occur .. there is an excellent non expensive tablet from the vet to control this problem.

Diesel

About Diesel

DIESEL is a very sooky big boy who has been dumped here at the Vets by his owner on the 30th of October 2011.

He is legally ours .. we have tried every method to contact the original owner by phone and registered letter .. we are trying desperately to find a no-kill shelter who can take him on and find him a loving home.

He is a 1 year old male brindle 40kg bull Arab X Mastiff .. he is not microchip .. has not been desexed and we suspect no vaccinations either.

We do not want to keep him cooped in a cage here at the hospital any more .. Diesel does not take to well with it .. when he first arrived .. he had hot spots .. which are all gone now.

However hospital life has made him depressed and Diesel is losing body condition from lack of proper exercise and his inappetance from the depression.

I myself fostered Diesel at my home for over a week and in that time he gained the 5kg he had lost and came out of his depression to show he is a very sooky and a loving boy.

For the first week with me Diesel showed his puppy side with my Husky X Bull Terrier and was happy to share his bed with my dog and my cats.

Diesel must go to a ONE PET HOME .. he shows no aggression to my dogs .. cats .. men .. women or children .. even my rat .. except he does not want to share me with anyone including the other animals.

We really want to find him a home that will get him desexed .. microchipped and vaccinated and have the time to train him and love him for what seems the first time.

Diesel is an amazing boy who just needs a home that will take him in as a member of their family and keep him safe with lots of cuddles.

Jet

About Jet

JET is a very stunning 6 year old male Poodle X Maltese [3/4 poodle and 1/4 Maltese].

He has always had a very dominant nature with other dogs but is very bright and very loyal to his owners.

Unfortunately he also has some anxiety traits and will howl at the door when the bell rings or if we are returning home.

Jet will whine if left on his own or if he cannot see you around.

Jet's personality has changed over the years .. he would be happier and less anxious in a different environment.

Jet will be best suited to a 1 pet family and as a companion inside pet only and a quiet calm home with NO SMALL KIDS .. a firm loving hand to train him will make all the difference.
